Business Tip For Avon Representatives: A Avon Representative Should Make A Plan For Their Appointments To Succeed In Getting The Prospect

Business Tip for Avon Representatives:

Plan all your appointments before you walk out the door. Have clear objectives for each one. Ask yourself "what is the best outcome", and make up guidelines for the appointment to follow.

Prepare for questions and anticipate answers. And of course, have all the literature and materials you will need.

Remember: If you expect to succeed, or expect to fail, you will generally get what you expect.

Music For The Avon Generation

The Music of Ronnie Gibson is now being featured on the “Diary of A Mad Avon Lady” and “A Business Woman’s Story”, the leaders in blogs for Avon Representatives.

A singer/songwriter from Cincinnati, Ronnie has been playing guitar for almost 30 years now. He wrote his first song “Right Out The Door” in 1983 during his 8th grade school year.

Ronnie Gibson had 12 top 40 songs, and 2 top 5 songs on the mega music website Mp3.com around 2002. At that time he also produced his first CD “Hiding In The House”. And followed with the cd single for the song “Haunted House”.

In His Younger Days

In his younger days, Ronnie played bass guitar for several bands in and around the Cincinnati area. These days he runs several sites for his new music including ones on ReverbNation and Myspace.com. He has new recordings of new songs on the way, with a new CD being produced.

In The Future

He has new recordings of new songs on the way, with a new CD being produced.

He is also tinkering with an idea to start a website for the new music he is doing with wife of almost 2 years, Heather Pawlicki Gibson. Married on Friday the 13th 2009, they have quickly built a whole new catalog of music. And a cd is in the works.

Are You The Reason You're Not Getting The Prospect?

The First Commandment of a Avon Representative

"Any Prospect Is A Good Prospect"

The mindset by which you approach a prospect determines the final outcome more than Anything Else you do. Therefore, your fame of mind should be friendly, confident, smiley, self-assured, enthusiastic, positive, and completely prepared. On your mind? You should be thinking about the customers.

That's a great commandment but what do you do when you wake up late, have a nine o'clock appointment and still have to drop your teenager off at school? Your mindset is negative, unsure, nasty, and unprepared.

The first step in the process of changing your belief system is to monitor your thoughts. And the next step is to control them through the power of choice.

According to a study "self-talk" is 150-300 word per minute. And it is thought that 40% of the messages in your mind are negative and self-critical. What you can do is choose to reframe your negative thought, and choose to let the voice in your mind talk about happy things.

Choosing to change your mind changes your attitude. We all have days when we believe we will not get the prospects and there is really no reason to go out and prospect for customers and downline.

You will always have to deal with difficult, awkward and unresponsive people. When this happens to you, do not dwell on it and sink into despondency. Instead just forget about it, move on and start all over again.

In addition, you set the tone for the outcome with enthusiasm, attitude and by putting your belief system into place. Thinking you will get the prospect is dependent on your self-confidence. In return, self-confidence is based on your preparation.

We need to learn about our world everyday. And learning about our techniques will enable us to give ourselves those confident thoughts.

The Basics Of An Avon Fundraiser

One of the easiest ways for an Avon Representative to achieve president club or a higher level is by throwing an Avon fundraiser. I have heard of people who made $3000.00 in sales in a single event.

The biggest advantage of an Avon fund-raiser is selling useful products from a nationally known brand name that people will love spending money on. Parents would rather purchase bubble bath, sunscreen, lotion, seasonal gifts, and other needed products instead of over-priced candy.

There are two types of fund-raisers you can offer. The single page flyer, with easy to sell products on one side and an order form for on the other side. Or a full-brochure event, showing all the products.

An Avon fund-raisers provides a 40% profit on the total dollar sale of Avon products sold by your charity. You can give the whole 40% to the group or less. Many choose to give 30% so that they are compensated for their effort.

In order to achieve the 40% profit, your group would need to sell a minimum of $1,500.00 in Avon products. If your group’s sales total were below $1,500 you would earn the following profits:

Total Sales Percentage of Earnings

$0 - $249--20%
$249.01 - $40--25%
$401.01 - $850--30%
$850.01 - $1,499.99--35%
$1,500 and up--40%

As you can see by the enclosed chart it would only take 10 people selling $15 worth of Avon products to 10 customers to reach total sales of $1,500 and the 40% earnings profit margin.

If you are an Avon Representative who has done a fundraiser please comment below. I would like to interview some representatives and do a full post.

Why You Should Be Using Trial-Sizes

The customers of Avon Representatives will almost always buy an Avon product if given the trial-size for free. People love free stuff and they especially like the trial-sizes because they see it as a “large gift” and have more of the product to try then with a small sample.

People today are hesitant to spend their hard-earned money on something new, unless they receive a recommendation from a friend, family member or other trusted source. But if Avon Representative offers them a trial-size of a product for free, two things happen; first they are allowed to test the product without any risk, and second a law of reciprocity kicks in, they will feel compelled to buy.

There are many ways to use this cost-effective way of letting Avon customers try an item. Avon Representatives should be on the look out for trial-sizes on sale in the brochures, flyers, and the outlet (you need to be giving your customers a outlet, they will be grateful to get the items for some cheap and will sometimes make a larger order). I also look on eBay for Avon Representatives who having an going out of business sale. However, calculate the cost per each item before bidding.

When giving trial-sizes away try to give them to people who would most likely use the item, your target market. Then tell them they can get the large size from you and try to get contact information. Also remember to give any instructions on how to use the product. And if you can, write down who got what, to follow up later.

I am going to give away some trial sizes of Anew and a coupon in campaign 4. Doing this I hope you boost sales, find new customers through referrals and lower my costs of marketing and customer acquisition.

Ways Avon Representatives Can Use Trial-Sizes

Promote a product

Gift for large order

Give to most loyal customers

Welcome to Avon gifts for first order

Pass out when out about with business card

Gift for when customer gives a referral

Give to customer so they can give them to friend or family to try and then get a referral

For you or customer to try a new product to be able to recommend it to others

Try this idea and let me know if it works for you as it has with me, I would really like to hear.
