It's a new year and a great time for Avon Representatives and direct sellers to set some goals for prospecting a down-line. I have just made a call to action for new recruits on the Notes page of my facebook. Here are 20 ideas to help you prospect for new recruits. Start 2011 off right and add the first member of your down-line or the tenth.

1. TELEPHONE call everyone and let them know what you are doing!
2. LAUNDROMAT it's indoor and people doing their
laundry are a captive audience looking for something
interesting while waiting on their laundry!
3. SHOPPING MALL Many have been successful with
showing the "Give Your Life a Makeover" video in
Shopping malls!
4. BEAUTY SHOP Hairdressers find Avon a great way to
Supplement their income with a product that
Compliments their business!
5. HEALTH CLUB Take advantage of sharing Avon's
Earning Opportunity where you can find people who have
Already decided to start their year with a positive
Attitude!
6. THE SPA People who want to look and feel great go
to the spa. Let them know that Avon's Vision is "To be
the company that best understands and satisfies the
product, service and self-fulfillment needs of women
globally."
7. RESTAURANTS For waitresses, their existing
customers are a built-in source for an earning
opportunity with Avon!
8. RETIREMENT FACILITIES What a great way to meet
others with the same lifestyle while supplementing
their income!
9. CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS If you belong to a club or
organization, the membership list is a great resource
for telephone prospecting!
10. NEWSPAPER ADS Place an ad in your local newspaper.
People are looking for a way to pay the holiday bills!
11. JOB WANTED ADS Call anyone looking for a job to
let them know Avon has an opportunity to earn money
now that will compliment any new or existing job!
12. THE GROCERY STORE Many stores offer a "Buy or
Sell" bulletin board. Post Avon's Earning Opportunity
with your name and number! Also, while waiting in line
at the checkout counter is a great way to start a
conversation with a potential prospect!

new leads. Let them know you are looking for people
who want to earn extra money! They'll want to know
more about what you are offering!
15. RELATIVES Another great resource for leads.
Especially if they work outside of the home, belong to
a club, go to restaurants, the beauty shop, you get
the idea!
16. CHURCH MEMBERS Priests, Pastors or other clergy
members often know of members who are in need of
additional sources of income.
17. SALES CLERKS Sales Clerks already know how to
sell! The Avon Earning Opportunity is perfect for
them!
18. CHILDREN WITH PARENTS Your children know a lot of
children with parents! As a parent, you know the high
cost of raising children. That's why you sell Avon!
19. PTA MEMBERS If you children are not of school age
or if you don't have children, contact the schools in
