I Wrote This For Those Who Can Not Speak

What’s a good reason to give to a charity? Do think that “everybody else gives, they don’t need my help“? No! Not everyone is giving and everyday a dog goes hungry and a child sits in a hospital with nothing to look forward to.

Charities cover a wide range of issues and causes. There are charities for family planning, AIDS, animal protection, human rights, and cancer, just to name a few. People give to charities for various reasons, including personal reasons, religion and for a tax incentives.

I have chosen to include 2 charities on my blogs “Diary Of A Mad Avon Lady” and “A Business Woman” Story, The Art of Elysium and spcaLA. Both are very near and dear to my heart. They deal with the 3 things I love the most, children, the arts and animals.

The Art of Elysium encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions. They provide artistic workshops in the following disciplines: acting, art, comedy, fashion, music, radio, songwriting and creative writing.

spcaLA believes that animals, as living creatures, have value beyond economic measurement, and are entitled to legal, moral and ethical consideration and protection. spcaLA is not affiliated with any other "SPCA" or humane society. And do not receive any support from either of these agencies.

Both are non-profit and very worthy causes. Thank you for reading this post, and if you give, thank you from me, the children, and all those animals who can speak for themselves.
