3 Marketing Tactics To Boost A Avon Representative's Sales

Booming economies come and go and bring surges of profit for many businesses. However, there are some businesses that just seem to weather the tough times with grace. They are not really affected by recessions. Some would say they have a secret source... Maybe they do... Customers.

We all know, customers always buy. In the good times and in the bad times. They still have needs and still have to make purchases. When a Avon Representative understands their needs and wants, they will have the keys to keeping an in flow of sales and profits to their business. Implement these three tactics that successful marketers use, and you're set for success.

1. Just One

Customers can be like a two year old in a candy store... they want it all. Sometimes it's hard for a customer to make up their mind about what you really do want when Avon sells over 5,000 great products. But it pays to promote one product over the others.

Focusing on one product will create interest in your Avon businesses. It spells out loud and clear... THIS IS THE BEST DEAL. That will be the deciding factor in most cases. It also grabs a customers attention and get them interested in what else you have to offer.

Promoting all of Avon’s products is overwhelming to a customer. They will back away from you. In addition, if a Avon Representative focuses one product, it will focus your advertising. And your marketing will be easy for your customers to understand.

2. Make Them Feel Good

Customers buy because they want to enjoy the pleasures of the purchase. A lady might buy a dress because she wants to feel sexy. And a man will buy Black Suede to attract women. Emotions are the key element that drives purchases.

First, find out what your customer wants. Then talk about how your product can help them to reach their goal. Use your words to get them to feel their pain. Have them see it in their mind. Next help them to feel what it will be like when the problem is gone. Finally, introduce your product as the means to cure the problem.

Using word pictures to stir up the emotions will get you the sale. Let them "feel" the benefits, and they'll be more apt to hand over their money.

3. Make Contact And Follow Up

Following up with a customer who didn't buy can be the determining factor between an "almost sale" and a satisfied, loyal customer. Avon teaches their representatives that the “fortune is in the follow up”. Simply contact them afterwards and let them know the product is still available or offer them further information they may find valuable.

Following up with a customer keeps you and your Avon business in their mind. You can offer additional information about your products. And when they have a problem they will think of you and your products.

It is said that it takes many customers an average of 7 contacts with you to even make the first purchase. So follow up and keep giving information about your Avon business and the products Avon has for sale. It will also help to keep providing samples.

Using these 3 tactics a Avon Representative can make their sales sky rocket.
