The Ick Factor In The Avon Representative Sales Process

Avon tells us Avon Representative that the fortune is in the follow-up. When you follow-up with your customers you re-connect with them and continue to build a relationship, which allows your business to grow. All the sales experts say to follow up and ask for the sale, do not wait for them to call you. Just because a customer hasn't called doesn't mean they do not want to buy, they may be waiting for you or they have forgot when the order is due back to you.

But if you are like me, you do not make that call because you do not want to bother the customer or appear pushy. I did a survey with my regular customers that asked the question "would you like a reminder call", all but one asked for a follow up call.

So What Can We Do:

The term follow-up is misleading by definition. We do not want to "follow" but take the "lead". Based on the definition of lead from dictionary.com, ‘to act as a guide or to influence’, we can see that this word is much more appropriate. The term lead is a perfect description of the part of the sales process where the representative gets in contact with the customer to ask for the sell.

When we need to change follow-up to lead-up. That way we get a description of what we need to be doing. We are given positive action verbs that make us believe we are acting in the best interest of the customer.

Do You Think This Is A Good Idea? Please Comment With Your Opinion.

Sales Tips For Avon Representatives--Find Out The Customer's Problem, Then Solve It

Sales Tip For Avon Representatives:

You can’t force people to do anything.

When a customer buys from a Avon Representative, it’s not because you have some magical power. You can urge or push or entice. However, the customer will actually do what they want to do. This means your job is to show how what you’re offering meets your prospect’s needs. First, find out what problem they have. Second, show how which Avon product will solve the problem.

What Every Avon Representative Should Know About Buyer Behavior

Every Avon Representative should know that customers do not buy products because of a sales pitch. They really buy products from Avon representative because the product will solve a problem they are dealing with.

I have found a great article “Buyers Buy for Their Own Reasons, Not Ours!” that covers buyers’ behavior and motivation for making purchases that I want to share with you. I have found the information in the article to be very useful in my own Avon business,

“In its simplest form, motivation emerges as a cycle. It starts with a want or need, expressed or hidden. Inherent in this is a problem, a problem that must be overcome in order to satisfy the want that must be solved. Once solved, the want can be satisfied and the cycle is completed….”

3 Marketing Tactics To Boost A Avon Representative's Sales

Booming economies come and go and bring surges of profit for many businesses. However, there are some businesses that just seem to weather the tough times with grace. They are not really affected by recessions. Some would say they have a secret source... Maybe they do... Customers.

We all know, customers always buy. In the good times and in the bad times. They still have needs and still have to make purchases. When a Avon Representative understands their needs and wants, they will have the keys to keeping an in flow of sales and profits to their business. Implement these three tactics that successful marketers use, and you're set for success.

1. Just One

Customers can be like a two year old in a candy store... they want it all. Sometimes it's hard for a customer to make up their mind about what you really do want when Avon sells over 5,000 great products. But it pays to promote one product over the others.

Focusing on one product will create interest in your Avon businesses. It spells out loud and clear... THIS IS THE BEST DEAL. That will be the deciding factor in most cases. It also grabs a customers attention and get them interested in what else you have to offer.

Promoting all of Avon’s products is overwhelming to a customer. They will back away from you. In addition, if a Avon Representative focuses one product, it will focus your advertising. And your marketing will be easy for your customers to understand.

2. Make Them Feel Good

Customers buy because they want to enjoy the pleasures of the purchase. A lady might buy a dress because she wants to feel sexy. And a man will buy Black Suede to attract women. Emotions are the key element that drives purchases.

First, find out what your customer wants. Then talk about how your product can help them to reach their goal. Use your words to get them to feel their pain. Have them see it in their mind. Next help them to feel what it will be like when the problem is gone. Finally, introduce your product as the means to cure the problem.

Using word pictures to stir up the emotions will get you the sale. Let them "feel" the benefits, and they'll be more apt to hand over their money.

3. Make Contact And Follow Up

Following up with a customer who didn't buy can be the determining factor between an "almost sale" and a satisfied, loyal customer. Avon teaches their representatives that the “fortune is in the follow up”. Simply contact them afterwards and let them know the product is still available or offer them further information they may find valuable.

Following up with a customer keeps you and your Avon business in their mind. You can offer additional information about your products. And when they have a problem they will think of you and your products.

It is said that it takes many customers an average of 7 contacts with you to even make the first purchase. So follow up and keep giving information about your Avon business and the products Avon has for sale. It will also help to keep providing samples.

Using these 3 tactics a Avon Representative can make their sales sky rocket.

How To Become A Avon Representative and 27 Reasons Why You Should

Many people are looking for a way in which they can become self-employed. They have had enough of being dictated to. And are fed up with long and frustrating commutes to work. They want the freedom of being their own boss and to be able to choose their own hours of work.

Are you thinking about setting up your own business? If your answer to this question is yes, this post could be of great value to you. The best way I know of starting a successful home business is to become an Avon Representative.

Avon is celebrating 125 years with over 5 million representatives, and the number of Avon Representatives is expected to keep growing with the continuing success of the company’s direct selling method.

Avon is a leading global beauty company with over $8 billion in annual revenue. As the world's largest direct seller, Avon markets to women in well over 100 countries. Representatives earn more than $3 billion annually. And Avon has more than one billion annual Customer transactions.

You Need To Get In On This Action!

Leaving a full time career can be quite a scary prospect. The security of having a regular income can be hard to let go of. Other people are willing and happy to take the risk and see it as a way of getting out of the rat race.

Being an Avon Representative is the most rewarding thing I have ever done. It is true, it can take a few weeks or even a few months to get your business started, but you will be happy in the end. Unlike other companies there are no huge startup fees, no quotas, no stock, no parties, no boundaries and no meetings that you have to attend.

All you will need to do is pay $10 to start your Avon business. That includes your kit, your learning materials, the application and unlimited access to a website designed for you to succeed. At your Avon.com, you will find all the training material you will need and there are Beauty of Knowledge classes to get you going.

In my blog I have written about 27 reasons to be a Avon Representative

--$10 Start-Up fee includes free training.

--Why pay retail? Order items for yourself and save up to 50% depending on the size of your order.

--Free Shipping! When order is on time.

--No minimum order required or you can go a campaign without placing an order.

--No stock or inventory needed.

--No more need to do door to door selling.

--No designated territories.

--Great incentive programs.

--Prizes and Representative free stuff.

--Recognition.

--It's really fun!

--Don’t have to change your lifestyle, only give an Avon brochure to people you know or see around town.

--Preview & buy all the great new products and gifts 2 months in advance and at special prices.

--The next time you are about to place a $25 order (which is the size of the average order), you can cover the start-up fee of $10 and buy yourself something.

--Unlimited earnings.

--You can do more then be a Representative, you can be an E-Representative, you can be a Beauty Advisor and do leadership.

--Through leadership you can help other achieve their dreams too.

--Give Back to the community by doing a fundraiser with any organization.

--Sign up for 401(a) & 501(a) Savings Plans.

--Avon, through it's partners, offers Medical Benefits and Life Insurance.

--College Scholarships Available for you and your children if you qualify.

--Representative Discounts--40% to start and then up to 50% off.

--Free online training and classes.

--Quarterly Support Sales Meetings.

--Room for advancement and growth.

--Mentoring from your Unit Leader and/or District Sales Manager.

--The option to have your own website to manage your customer base and sell online.

All you need to do to sign up is contact me directly through email on this site or, email me on my Avon website. I will set up an appointment time and take you through the whole process. I will also get all the materials to you overnight.

I will help you succeed in anyway I can, no matter where you are in the world. I have training manuals that I have made up separate from Avon’s materials, I run 2 blogs for Avon Representatives and you can reach me anytime of day.

It is also important to realize that we will make mistakes along the way. When this happens you need to think positive and contact me. It is an experience we can learn from.

Always have a belief in yourself. At times any business will go through a rocky period, this is when we need to be strong. In my opinion the more work you put in, the more rewards you are likely to obtain. And I always say “the more time you spend doing Avon, the more money you will make.”

Being a Avon Representative is a great way to earn money part time or full time. I have my own business and I love it. I only do it part time since I have started blogging full time. I didn't even sign up to make money. I started to get my products at a discount.
